TRANSFIX is mainly used in large and ultra-large oil-immersed power transformers. A single TRANSFIX can be used to monitor a power transformer.

For the 220KV three-phase one-piece power transformer, a TRANSFIX is required for monitoring.

Three transfixes are required for the 500KV and above three component transformer groups.
